Preparing for your first visit:

To help our doctors to familiarize themselves with your pet and previous medical history, we kindly ask you to provide us with any previous medical records prior to your appointment. Our team is willing to assist you in obtaining medical records from previous veterinary hospitals if requested.

All records can be sent via email, fax or text message images.

To make your first appointment as seamless as possible, please fill out the New Client Form and Pet History Form from the comfort of your home.

What to expect at your appointment

Once you arrive to your appointment, please check in with the front desk. If you have a pet that is very reactive to other pets, please call in and let us know you have arrived, so we can make arrangements for you to enter the building. The front desk may ask for your pet to step on the scale in the waiting room. We weigh all pets every time they enter the facility, even if for just a pedicure, to monitor weight trends.

As soon as our team is ready, a team member will bring you into one of our exam rooms. Here, a licensed veterinary technician or a highly trained technician’s assistant will obtain a full history of your pet. This history will be similar to the Pet History Form and will include: current medications and supplements, diet, preventatives, and current concerns. A brief exam will also be conducted and vitals will be taken on your pet. The team member will then leave the exam room to discuss your pet’s history, your concerns, and the patient’s vitals with your veterinarian.

Next, the veterinarian and veterinary technician will return to the exam room. The veterinarian will now conduct a thorough nose-to-tail exam on your pet and discuss any concerns you may have. Throughout the exam the veterinarian will be communicating with the veterinary technician the exam findings so they can be added to your pet’s exam notes. The veterinarian may then make additional recommendations, prescribe medications, or order diagnostics tests to be run. Please stop us at any point if you have any questions- we are here for you!

Our hospital has a comprehensive pharmacy, laboratory, and diagnostic imaging.

At the completion of the exam, the veterinary technician will go over any medications or additional questions you may have. At this point you may return to the waiting room for payment at the front desk.

In most situations, you will receive a call from our team the following day to check on your pet and to answer any further questions you may have regarding the appointment.
