Kelly
Kelly Loucks, affectionately known as K-Lo is a highly capable veterinary assistant, room technician, receptionist, client liaison, and so much more. A graduate of SUNY Delhi, Kelly’s veterinary technology degree gives him an excellent knowledge base for the many roles he fills within the hospital. In addition, Kelly has obtained certification in both basic and advanced life support. His soft voice and gentle manner make him a favorite among many patients and their owners.
Kelly lives in Livonia with his Lab Greyhound mix, Letty and his two kitties, Chance and, Max. He enjoys hiking and camping.
If you ask him why he comes to work each day, Kelly will tell you he loves what he does. He loves the patients and enjoys their owners. His coworkers are his friends. He will tell you that he has always wanted to do what he is doing right now.
K-Lo is positive force for good in the practice. He is very much an integral part of our heart and culture.

Nicole
Nicole White personifies ‘kind and gentle’. The patients love her, and so do we. Soon to complete her veterinary technician degree, Nicole is excited to expand her role in this capacity. Nicole will tell you she comes to work each day because she enjoys interacting with the animals and her coworkers. To her, the best part of working at Livonia Veterinary Hospital is when everyone has a minute ‘to breathe’ and can enjoy each other’s company (telling jokes, snuggling patients….)
When she is not at work, Nicole enjoys curling up on her bed with her two Labradors, Sonny and Shadow, to watch a movie or read. She also enjoys taking them for long walks in the forest.
We look forward to watching Nicole as she grows into her new role in the veterinary hospital.
Veterinary Assistant
Sarah
Sarah Haubner is her mother’s daughter. As one of our veterinary assistants, Sarah is hardworking and caring. She has a calming ‘way’ with animals and always has the patients’ best interests in mind. Never rough. Always kind. Sarah is and always will be a valued member of our team. When asked why she comes to work each day, Sarah will say that it is so that she can work with people who care about animals as much as she does, and to help patients live healthier and happier lives. She finds that extremely rewarding.
Sarah’s favorite things to do outside of work involve interacting with animals (no surprise there!). She especially enjoys socializing puppies and kittens. And we could never forget her beloved cat ‘JT’. Sarah also loves her family very much and likes nothing more than to spend time with them, especially if fishing, swimming, boating, camping or star-gazing are involved.
Veterinary Assistant
Laurie
Laurie Haubner has worked for the Livonia Veterinary Hospital for over 12 years. She is an extremely reliable and hark-working team player. And she has an incredible way with animals. Laurie manages our team of veterinary assistants, looking after them in an almost maternal way. She also manages the hospital inventory, a challenging job to say the least! Married 38 years, Laurie lives with her husband, their two daughters, and their son. In addition to her work at the veterinary hospital, Laurie oversees the care of her elderly mother, as well as that of her very elderly kitty, Toby. Laurie loves the outdoors, including camping, hiking, boating, fishing, bird watching and horseback riding. And she loves her newest family member, her newly-adopted dachshund, Mollie.
What Laurie likes the most about coming to work is the people she works with and knowing that she is helping fellow animal appreciators to keep their furry family members healthy. Laurie, we really appreciate all you do!
