Dr. Karin Boyd

Education: The Ohio State University

Dr. Karin Boyd, an alumnus of The Ohio State University, joined Livonia Veterinary Hospital in 1992, after practicing for several years in Binghamton, N.Y. She has extensive experience in small animal medicine and oral surgery, as well as an ongoing interest in obedience training and animal behavior.

In addition to her horse, multiple cats and Golden Retrievers, Dr. Karin breeds Long Haired Dachshunds. She actively competes in agility and field trials, and her Dachshund “Razzle” was featured on the cover of international agility magazine Clean Run in 2008!  Besides being “mom” to her animals, she is also mom to a son.  When not parenting kids and pets, she can be found outdoors in her extensive perennial gardens.

For your convenience, as well as that of other clients, office visits are by appointment only. On surgery days, patient admission is between 7:30 and 8:15am.
